About MarketGini

What is MarketGini?

MarketGini is an AI-powered share research platform for UK, US and Indian stock markets. It brings together share overviews, fundamentals, sentiment, interactive charts, automated technical analysis, stock screeners, watchlists and an AI research assistant called Ask Gini — so you can research a company in minutes instead of hours. Share overviews are not limited to those three markets: search any listed share on any stock exchange in the world and MarketGini analyses it for you.

Which markets and shares do you cover?

Our screeners start with three curated market lists: the UK FTSE 100, the US S&P 100 and Indian BSE Sensex and large-cap shares. You are not limited to these — add any other UK, US or Indian share to a watchlist and it is ranked alongside them. And share overviews go further still: they analyse any listed share in any market worldwide — and, on paid plans, so do charts and technical analysis. Just search by company name or ticker.

Can I analyse a share listed in any market, not just the UK, US or India?

Yes — this is one of MarketGini's biggest strengths. Share overviews analyse any listed share in any market, from London, New York and Mumbai to Toronto, Frankfurt, Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Sydney and beyond. Search by company name or ticker (for example Toyota, SAP or 7203.T) and you get key fundamentals, valuation, dividend dates, analyst consensus, the latest news and a Bullish, Neutral or Bearish sentiment read — all on the Free plan. On Pro and Professional, the same shares also get interactive charts and automated technical analysis, and you can ask Gini about them too. Coverage depends on the market data available for each listing.

Can I analyse shares that are not in your lists?

Yes. The built-in lists are just a starting point. Add any share listed on the London Stock Exchange, NYSE, Nasdaq, BSE or NSE to one of your watchlists and the screeners — Top growth, Best dividends and Biggest movers — will score it with exactly the same formula as the built-in companies and flag it when it ranks. Ask Gini includes your watchlist shares when it screens a market for you, too. Start with 1 watchlist of up to 5 shares on the Free plan, or extend every market with up to 20 watchlists of 50 shares each on Professional.

Is MarketGini financial advice?

No. MarketGini provides general information and research tools only. Nothing on the platform — including AI answers, signals, scores or screener rankings — is a personal recommendation or financial advice. Investments can fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you invest. Consider speaking to an FCA-authorised financial adviser before making investment decisions.

Where does your market data come from? Is it real time?

Prices, fundamentals, dividends and news come from Yahoo Finance public data. Prices may be delayed (typically by up to 15–20 minutes depending on the exchange) and screener results are refreshed roughly every 10 minutes. Always confirm prices with your broker before trading.

Who is MarketGini for?

MarketGini is built for self-directed investors, traders and finance enthusiasts who want clear, data-driven research without expensive terminals — whether you are building a long-term dividend portfolio or looking for today's biggest movers.

Features

What is Ask Gini?

Ask Gini is our AI research assistant. Ask a question in plain English — for example “How has AstraZeneca performed this year and what do analysts expect?” — and Gini pulls live market data and the latest news (plus technical signals on paid plans) to write a clear answer, with sources where available. You can ask follow-up questions in the same conversation.

What counts as an AI question?

Every message you send to Ask Gini counts as one AI question, including follow-ups. Your allowance resets every day at midnight UK time. Share overviews, screeners, watchlists, charts and technical analysis do not use AI questions. If a question fails because of a technical problem, it is not counted.

How are the technical signals calculated?

We calculate popular indicators from daily price candles — the 50- and 200-day simple moving averages, Bollinger Bands, RSI, MACD and volume trends — and combine their bullish and bearish readings into a single signal score from −100 to +100. The rules are transparent and shown alongside every chart. Signals are mechanical and are not a forecast. Charts and technical signals are included with the Pro and Professional plans.

How do the stock screeners work?

Three screeners rank every share in a market universe: Top growth (earnings and revenue growth, analyst upside and consensus), Best dividends (dividend yield adjusted for payout sustainability) and Biggest movers (size of the last move, volatility and trading volume). The exact formula is shown in the app next to the results.

How many watchlists can I create?

It depends on your plan: Free includes 1 watchlist of up to 5 shares, Pro 10 watchlists of up to 20 shares each and Professional 20 watchlists of up to 50 shares each. Every watchlist shows live prices, daily and one-month performance and 52-week ranges. Shares in your watchlists are also scored by the screeners — including shares outside our built-in lists — so you can see when they rank among the best.

Can I use MarketGini on my phone or tablet?

Yes. MarketGini runs in any modern web browser and is fully responsive, so it works on desktop, tablet and mobile with nothing to install. Light and dark themes are available.

Plans & billing

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan includes share overviews for any listed share in any market, news and sentiment, the growth, dividend and mover screeners, 1 watchlist of up to 5 shares and 2 AI questions a day — no card required and free for as long as you like. Charts and technical analysis are available on paid plans.

What is the difference between the plans?

Free covers share overviews for any listed share in any market, screeners, 1 watchlist of up to 5 shares and 2 AI questions a day. Pro (£9.99/month) adds interactive charts and technical analysis, 10 watchlists of up to 20 shares each and 20 AI questions a day. Professional (£19.99/month) adds priority email support, 20 watchlists of up to 50 shares each and 50 AI questions a day. Compare all features.

How do I upgrade to Pro or Professional?

Choose a plan on our pricing page, log in or create your account, and pay securely by card with Stripe. Your new features are available as soon as the payment goes through. Already subscribed? Open Manage account from the account menu to switch plans: upgrades start straight away (you pay the prorated difference for the rest of the month) and downgrades take effect at your next billing date.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Paid plans are billed monthly with no minimum term. You can cancel at any time from Manage account in the account menu and keep your paid features until the end of the billing period you have paid for, after which your account moves to the Free plan. Changed your mind? You can resume your subscription any time before it ends. Your watchlists are kept, but you will not be able to create lists or add shares beyond the Free plan limits until you are back within them.

What happens if a payment fails?

We email you straight away and your account moves to the Free plan until the payment is made. Your watchlists and settings are kept. Pay the outstanding invoice or update your card from Manage account and your paid plan comes back immediately — we also retry the payment automatically over the following days.

Where can I find my invoices and receipts?

We email a receipt for every payment. You can also see your billing history, download invoices and update your card or billing details at any time from Manage account in the account menu.

What happens when I reach my daily AI limit?

Everything else in your plan keeps working — share overviews, screeners and watchlists (plus charts and technical analysis on paid plans) do not use AI questions. Your AI questions reset at midnight UK time, or you can upgrade for a larger daily allowance.

Which currency are prices in?

Plans are priced in pounds sterling (GBP). Market data is shown in each share's trading currency — pence or pounds for UK shares, US dollars for US shares, rupees for Indian shares and the local currency for shares listed in any other market.

Reviews

How do I leave a review of MarketGini?

Log in, open Manage account and choose Write a review. Give MarketGini a rating from 1 to 5 stars, write up to 300 characters about your experience and add your name. From time to time we may also email you a personal link to write a review without logging in. You can leave one review per account. Read what others say on our reviews page.

Will my review be published?

Not automatically. Every review is checked by our team before it appears on the website, and even if you submit a review, it is at MarketGini's discretion whether to publish it. We do not publish reviews that include personal details, links, share tips or investment recommendations, offensive or unlawful content, or content that is unrelated to MarketGini. Only your initials are shown with a published review — never your full name or email address.

Why did I get an email asking for a review, and how do I stop them?

We occasionally email members who have been using MarketGini for a while to ask what they think — no more than a few times, spaced well apart, and never once you have left a review. Every one of these emails has an unsubscribe link that stops them with one click, or you can turn them off in Manage account. Opting out does not affect important emails about your account, security or billing. See our Privacy Policy.

Can I change or remove my review?

Yes. Contact us from the email address on your account and we will update or remove it. Each account can submit one review — removing it does not let you submit another. If you delete your account, any review that has not been published is deleted with it, and a published review is kept with your initials only.

Account, privacy & support

How do I create an account?

Sign up with your email address and a password of at least 8 characters, then click the link we email you to verify your address. You can log in and start researching straight away after that.

How do you protect my data?

Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing, sign-in attempts are rate-limited and all traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. We never sell your personal data. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I close my account or delete my data?

Log in, open Manage account from the account menu and choose Delete account. After you confirm with your password, your account, watchlists and other personal data are deleted straight away and you are signed out. If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it first — you can delete your account once it has ended, including after a cancellation at the end of the period you have paid for. Invoices and payment records are kept for six years, as UK tax law requires. Rather keep your watchlists? Your account can stay on the Free plan at no cost. You can also ask us to delete your data through our contact form.

How can I contact support?

Use our contact form and we will reply by email to the address you give us. We aim to reply within one to two working days. Professional members get priority email support: log in before using the contact form and your message goes to the front of the queue.
